Dual-Targeted Biomimetic MoSe2 Nanozymes for Enhancing Peri-Implant Soft Tissue Integration. [PDF]
A dual‐targeting biomimetic nanozyme, MoSe2@SPMM, selectively targets Staphylococcus aureus and oxidatively stressed macrophages. Near‐infrared activation couples contact‐enhanced photothermal bacterial eradication with reactive oxygen species scavenging to disrupt the pathogenic–immunological amplification loop.

Comparison of peri‐implant and periodontal marginal soft tissues in health and disease
AbstractThe integrity of the peri‐implant soft‐tissue seal is crucial for maintaining peri‐implant tissue health. Whilst the transmucosal component of the restored implant shares some common features with teeth, namely the presence of a junctional epithelium and a connective tissue component, there are some important differences.

Physiopathology of peri-implant diseases. [PDF]
BACKGROUND Peri-implant health is characterized by the absence of clinical signs of soft tissue inflammation. Peri-implant diseases are initiated by the presence of bacterial biofilms and share a similar etiology as that involved in the onset of ...

The importance of soft tissue condition in bone regenerative procedures to ensure long-term peri-implant health. [PDF]
Bone regenerative procedures have been widely proved to be a reliable treatment option to re-create the ideal pre-implant clinical conditions. Nevertheless, these techniques are not free from post-operative complications which might result in implant ...

Peri-Implant Soft Tissue Augmentation
The peri-implant soft tissue (PIS) augmentation procedure has become an integral part of implant-prosthetic rehabilitation. Minimal width of keratinized mucosa (KM) of 2 mm is deemed necessary to facilitate oral hygiene maintenance around the implant and provide hard and soft peri-implant tissue stability.

Currently, researchers are focused on the study of cytokines as predictive biomarkers of peri-implantitis (PI) in order to obtain an early diagnosis and prognosis, and for treatment of the disease. The aim of the study was to characterize the peri-implant soft and hard tissues in patients with a peri-implantitis diagnosis.

Peri-Implant Soft Tissue Deformities in the Anterior Maxilla: A Cross-Sectional Study. [PDF]
Background This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence of peri-implant soft tissue deformities, including dehiscences (PSTDs) and deficiencies, around bone-level (BL) and tissue-level (TL) implants in the anterior maxilla, assess associated variables ...

Implant dentistry has historically centered on osseointegration, yet it is now evident that soft-tissue integration is equally critical for long-term success. The stability of bone-anchored dental implants hinges on the establishment and maintenance of a
