The accuracy of the trochanter‐based three‐dimensional method enables clinically acceptable estimation of the femoral head center (FC) even in patients with developmental dysplasia of the hip and may serve as a useful adjunct for planning of total hip arthroplasty when the native FC is difficult to identify.

Endoscopy-assisted Periacetabular Osteotomy [PDF]
Periacetabular osteotomy has been recommended for reconstructing symptomatic dysplastic hips in adolescents and young adults, but requires substantial incisions and exposure. To minimize large incisions, we asked whether periacetabular osteotomy could be performed with a mini-incision under direct endoscopic control.

Dynamic motion‐capture and musculoskeletal simulation of stand‐to‐sit reveal nonlinear pelvic kinematics in healthy subjects. Pelvic tilt and sacral slope show synchronized mid‐cycle turning points, strongly linked to center‐of‐gravity transitions. These dynamic features, absent in static radiographs, may refine functional acetabular safe zones to ...

Abstract Purpose Hip labral reconstruction survival refers to the durability of the reconstructed labrum, typically measured by the rate of freedom from revision surgery or conversion to total hip arthroplasty (THA) over time. This systematic review aimed to identify and combine prognostic factors, particularly those related to cartilage status, graft ...

Does travel distance influence short‐term outcome after periacetabular osteotomy?—A cohort study
Abstract Purpose Periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) is an established joint‐preserving procedure for the treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH). As PAO is typically concentrated in specialized centres, many patients travel considerable distances for treatment.
