A Comparison of Endodontic Microbiomes Associated With Symptomatic and Asymptomatic Apical Periodontitis by Next‐Generation Sequencing

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim This cross‐sectional study aimed to compare the endodontic microbiome assessed from root canals of teeth associated with either symptomatic or asymptomatic apical periodontitis and analysed by 16S rDNA gene sequencing. Prevalence of Hypercementosis in Radiographic Studies: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis With Clinical Implications for Endodontic Assessment

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Hypercementosis is a non‐neoplastic condition characterized by excessive cementum deposition along the root surface, resulting in altered apical morphology. Although often asymptomatic and detected incidentally on radiographs, changes in apical contour may influence anatomical complexity in endodontic treatment.

Apremilast in Japanese patients with palmoplantar pustulosis: A randomized, Phase 3 trial

open access: yesJournal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, EarlyView.
In this Phase 3 trial of Japanese patients with moderate to severe PPP (NCT05174065), significantly more patients achieved PPPASI‐50 at Week 16 with apremilast versus placebo. Patient‐reported outcomes, including pruritus and pain/discomfort, also showed significantly greater decreases at Week 16 with apremilast versus placebo.

Interdisciplinary Management of Open Interproximal Embrasures

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To describe key etiological and risk factors associated with open interproximal embrasures (OIE) and propose a systematic interdisciplinary approach for their management, emphasizing the integration of periodontics, orthodontics, and prosthodontics.

Fracture Resistance of Extensively Compromised Anterior Teeth Restored With Fiberglass Posts and Biomimetic Protocols: An In Vitro Study

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Polyethylene fiber (PF) and fiberglass (FG) posts have been recommended for intraradicular anchorage when there is a significant loss of coronal structure. However, few studies have evaluated their performance in anterior teeth combined with direct restorations as an alternative to single crowns.
