Quantitative analysis of cellular composition of human periapical granuloma
Journal of Endodontics, 1981The cellular composition of 33 solid and cystic periapical granulomas was quantitated by a differential morphometric technique. Macrophages were the predominant inflammatory cell, followed in descending numerical order by lymphocytes, plasma cells, and neutrophils.

Absence of radiometric differentiation between periapical cysts and granulomas
Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, 1994A recent study reported that the mean density of periapical cysts was greater than that of periapical granulomas. This study, which used a larger sample size and a robust method for standardization of density and contrast between images, found no difference between the radiographic density of cysts and granulomas classified by microscopic evaluation ...

Monosialoganglioside, GM1a, in human radicular cysts and periapical granulomas
Journal of Endodontics, 1981The monosialoganglioside, GM1a, was isolated and identified from radicular cysts and granulomas. Other related glycolipids hematoside, disialogangliosides, GD1a, and trisialoganglioside, GT1b were tentatively demonstrated by ascending thin layer chromatography. The importance of this family of glycolipids in cellular biology is discussed.

Abstract Seventy periapical granulomas were histopathologically examined. They were divided into four types: exudative, granulomatous, granule‐fibrous, and fibrous types. Clinicopathologically, those having marked lymphocytic infiltration were found more frequently in cases having had endodontic treatment; further, the size of a radiolucent area did ...

[Cellular immunity in human periapical granuloma].
Revue francaise d'endodontie : publication officielle de la Societe francaise d'endodontie, 1991Numerous authors have produced different types of immunoglobulins in analyses of the human periapical granuloma. The present study examines the cellular immunity of the human periapical granuloma, and in particular the distribution of the lymphocyte sub-populations and the macrophage population.

PERİAPİKAL GRANÜLOMLARDA İMMUNGLOBULİNLER- IMMUNGLOBULINS IN PERIAPICAL GRANULOMAS
2013Anahtar Sözcükler: Periapikal granulom, immuglobulin.Histopatolojik olarak apikal granülom varlığı saptanan 12 hastadan, materyaller diş çekimi veya cerrahi yolla elde edildi. Bu doku örnekleri, periapikal lezyonların patogenezinde rol oynadığı düşünülen immünolojik olayları kanıtlayabilecek immunglobulinler yönünden incelendi.
