Using Periapical Radiography to Differentiate Periapical Granuloma and Radicular Cysts
Background: The distinction between radicular cysts and apical granulomas is important in treatment decision. Objectives: The current study aimed to differentiate these two lesions based on radiography images. Patients and Methods: The material consisted of 138 radiographs obtained using Kodak E -speed, in patients aged 29 to 47, divided into two ...

When an Oral Lesion Uncovers Hyperparathyroidism: A Peripheral Brown Tumor Case
ABSTRACT Oral lesions may represent the first sign of an underlying systemic disease. Giant cell lesions in the oral cavity should prompt investigation for hyperparathyroidism, as early recognition of brown tumors allows appropriate systemic management and may lead to lesion regression after treatment of the endocrine disorder.

Medical management of a case of central giant cell granuloma masquerading as a periapical pathosis
Lesions of non-endodontic origin may mimic periapical pathosis. Errors in one or more of the clinical reasoning steps of diagnosis of such lesions may ultimately lead to misdiagnosis and ensuing complications.

Gingival Squamous Cell Carcinoma: Diagnostic Challenges and Clinical Implications
ABSTRACT Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is one of the highly invasive malignancies globally, accounting for the vast majority of all oral cancers, that is, more than 90%. Carcinomas of the gingiva represent a distinct subgroup of OSCC, constituting approximately 12% of all OSCC cases. These neoplasms might mimic the inflammatory and reactive state

ABSTRACT Objective The present study aimed to compare the clinical and radiographic performance of full‐length implantoplasty (FLIP) versus partial‐length implantoplasty (PLIP) for the supracrestal component as part of combined surgical therapy for peri‐implantitis with a ≥ 3 mm depth at the intrabony component.
