Traumatic Volar Dislocation of a Hemi-Scaphoid-Lunate Complex across the Carpal Ligament: A Case Report [PDF]
Introduction: Palmar trans-scaphoid-lunate dislocation with proximal migration of the fragment complex is an exceedingly rare carpal injury whose management is not standardized.

Trans-scaphoid perilunate fracture dislocation beyond Mayfield stage IV: a case report on a new classification proposal [PDF]
This report and review of the literature aims to recognize the complete enucleation beyond stage IV of the classification proposed by Mayfield. The addition of a fifth category is proposed, added for complete ligament injuries that lead to nonexistent ...

Bilateral Traumatic Scaphoid Fracture Managed Surgically with Headless Compression Screw: A Case Report with Review Literature [PDF]
Introduction: The most frequent carpal bone fractures are scaphoid fractures, which frequently affect young people, particularly athletes. These fractures can be difficult to identify, and if left untreated, they can cause problems, including non-union ...

Perilunate dislocations are uncommon high energy injuries. The combination of fractures resulting in a trans-styloid, trans-scaphoid, and trans-triquetral perilunate fracture dislocation is extremely rare. We describe a 20 year old male who suffered this

Radiocarpal fracture‐dislocations are injuries where the major portion of the distal radius articular surface is intact and the lunate along with the rest of the carpus dislocates out of the radiolunate fossa. This study proposes a classification system based on injury patterns that may help guide treatment.

Perilunate Dislocations and Perilunate Fracture Dislocations in the U.S. Military [PDF]
Background Perilunate dislocations and perilunate fracture dislocations (PLDs/PLFDs) are rare and often associated with poor outcomes. Heretofore, these outcomes have not been evaluated in a high-demand military population. Questions/Purpose The purpose of this study was to evaluate the outcomes in a young, active population ...

Arthroscopic‐assisted reduction and robot‐assisted fixation is a viable and promising alternative for the treatment of perilunate fracture dislocations. This novel technique allows precise reduction and accurate placement of the K‐wires/screws into the carpal bones through the optimal biomechanical paths.

An unusual variant of perilunate fracture dislocations [PDF]
Trans-scaphoid, trans-radial styloid, trans-triquetral perilunate fracture dislocations are rare. We describe a 19-year-old male who suffered this injury after crashing his bicycle. He underwent open reduction internal fixation and percutaneous pinning. Scaphoid union was achieved at 8 weeks.

Established non-union of an operatively managed trans-scaphoid perilunate fracture dislocation progressing to spontaneous union [PDF]
Perilunate dislocations and fracture dislocations represent uncommon and unusual injuries that are often missed at initial presentation and diagnosed late in up to 25% of cases.
