Period doubling in coupled maps
Physical Review E, 1993Using a renormalization method, we study the critical behavior of period doubling in two coupled one-dimensional (1D) maps. We find three kinds of fixed maps of the period-doubling renormalization operator. Periodic perturbation on a period-doubling system
Physical Review A, 1983The effect of a periodic perturbation on a nonlinear dynamic system undergoing a sequence of period doublings is investigated. The results obtained from linear response theory and from numerical calculations resemble the observations made by Giglio et al. on Rayleigh-Benard convection.

The bifurcation diagram of the periodic solutions is analyzed both numerically and theoretically. The bifurcation parameter is the amplitude of the periodic modulations.

Chaotic behavior and period doubling in plasmas
Physical Review Letters, 1987We report the first experimental observation of chaotic behavior and period doubling in a pulsed plasma discharge sensitive to initial and boundary conditions. The Feigenbaum constants have been measured experimentally in one of the observed chaotic discharge routes.
