Physical Review A, 1987 For the rf-driven Josephson junction, the dynamical behavior is studied near a period-doubling transition. The center-manifold theorem simplifies the problem and enables us to study only a first-order system, the parameters of which are expressed in terms of the Josephson-junction parameters.
