ON QUASI-PERIODIC VARIATIONS OF COSMIC RAYS
2012Selected results of experimental studies of quasi-periodic variations of cosmic rays obtained from ground based measurements, especially from neutron monitor Climax, are reviewed. At high frequencies the dominant periodicity is the solar diurnal variation and its higher harmonics.

New variational approach to the periodic Anderson model
Physical Review B, 1987A new variational method is proposed for the ground state of the periodic Anderson model with infinitely large Coulomb repulsion. A wave function is the Gutzwiller type function which is an extension of the Varma and Yafet's wave function for the single impurity problem to the lattice case.

Period variations in BZ Eridani?
Astrophysics and Space Science, 1987Recent claims that strong period variations are indicated in the O−C diagram of the eclipsing binary BZ Eri are shown to be based on a gross overestimation of the accuracy of photographic and visual times of minima. There is no evidence for any period change within the last fifty years.

Period variations in SZ Arietis
Astrophysics and Space Science, 1990A new period (P=1d.7175405) of the eclipsing binary system SZ Arietis has been presented. Period changes in different portions of the O-C diagram, with new period, have been estimated. The total change in period (ΔP) ranges from 3.64×10−5 d to 4.24×10−4 d, which is appreciably large.
