Periodicity analysis of movement recursions

Journal of Theoretical Biology, 2013
Many animals adaptively use their environments by adjusting how long and how often they use specific areas of their home range. Whereas questions about residence times have been addressed for a long time, the study of movement recursions has only recently received due interest.

An analysis of Wenckebach periodicity

Journal of Electrocardiology, 1975
His bundle electrograms of 40 patients developing Wenckebach block during atrial pacing and four with spontaneous Wenckebach block above the His were reviewed to determine the frequency of classical Wenckebach periodicity. Thirty patients had 143 Wenckebach cycles that were suitable for analysis. Cycles were evaluated for the following features: 1) the

Stable population analysis in periodic environments

Theoretical Population Biology, 1977
Abstract A discrete time model is developed for periodic survivorship and maternal frequency rates. The Leslie matrix is subdivided by an additional variable representing time of birth (season of birth in the example presented) to accommodate both age-specific and time-specific variations in vital rates.

Analysis of Dynamics of Recurrent Epidemics: Periodic or Non-periodic

Bulletin of Mathematical Biology, 2019
The periodic behaviors and non-periodic behaviors of recurrent epidemic are discussed by building an SIS model with disease age structure and infectious delay. We formulate the model as an abstract non-densely defined Cauchy problem and derive the conditions for the existence of Hopf bifurcation under the condition where endemic equilibrium is unstable.

Period analysis of the electroencephalogram

Computer Programs in Biomedicine, 1976
A program is described which utilizes the Digital Equipment Corporation LINC-8 computer with 4K of memory to process the electrical activity of the brin into a set of meaningful statistics. The program provides an efficient methol of obtaining spectoral information concerning the EEG without the associated cost or complexity of conventional power ...
