Physical Review Letters, 2006We study the conformational behavior of DNA molecules adsorbed on cationic-lipid membranes that are supported on grooved, one-dimensionally periodic microstructured surfaces. We reveal a striking ability of these periodically structured membranes to stretch DNA coils.
