Omnipolar Magnetic Field Detection by Superlattice‐Based Hall Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic‐field‐induced electronic switching is demonstrated in unit‐cell‐engineered La0.7Sr0.3MnO3–BiFeO3 superlattices. Distinct substrate terminations modify magnetic and transport properties. Hall resistance measurements show omnipolar, hysteretic anomalous Hall switching above the Curie temperature, arising from Fe─Mn interfacial exchange, enabling

Tissue‐Stimulator Platform for Electrically Stimulating Pancreatic β‐Cells for Long‐Term Functional Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Solitary and periodic wave solutions of the Majda-Biello system

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we present the exact solutions of the Majda-Biello system. This system describes the nonlinear interaction of long-wavelength equatorial Rossby waves and barotropic Rossby waves with a substantial midlatitude projection, in the presence of

Spatially Modulated Morphotropic Phase Boundaries in a Compressively Strained Multiferroic Thin Film

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The coexisting rhombohedral‐like (R′, MA) and tetragonal‐like (T′, MC) monoclinic phases in compressively strained bismuth ferrite thin films exhibit exceptional piezoelectric and magnetic properties. While previous studies have largely focused on probing the morphotropic phase boundaries (MPBs) comprising ordered R′/T′ twins, their self ...

EXPLICIT PERIODIC WAVE SOLUTIONS AND THEIR BIFURCATIONS FOR GENERALIZED CAMASSA–HOLM EQUATION

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, through qualitative analysis and integration, we study the explicit periodic wave solutions and their bifurcations for the generalized Camassa–Holm equation [Formula: see text] When the parameter k satisfies k < 3/8 and the constant ...

A Study on the Semi-Discrete KP Equation: Bilinear Bäcklund Transformation, Lax Pair and Periodic Wave Solutions

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we investigate the integrability and solution structure of the semi-discrete KP equation. A bilinear Bäcklund transformation, Lax pair, and nonlinear superposition formula are systematically derived, establishing the integrability of the ...

Design Strategies and Emerging Applications of High‐Performance Flexible Piezoresistive Pressure Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors underpin wearable and soft electronics. This review links sensing physics, including contact resistance modulation, quantum tunneling and percolation, to unified materials/structure design. We highlight composite and graded architectures, interfacial/porous engineering, and microstructured 3D conductive networks

A Non‐Reciprocal Architected Porous Medium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In several fluid flow, energy‐dumping, and energy‐harvesting applications, a dominant flow direction or dominant resistance direction is desirable. In this study, we propose a simple modular geometry that doubles flow resistance in one direction relative to the opposite direction, while maintaining laminar viscous flow.

Doubly-periodic solutions of a forced semilinear wave equation

open access: yes, 1987
Existence results are obtained for doubly-periodic solutions of a semilinear wave equation when the nonlinearity is bounded in one side.

New Types of Doubly Periodic Standing Wave Solutions for the Coupled Higgs Field Equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Based on the Hirota bilinear method and theta function identities, we obtain a new type of doubly periodic standing wave solutions for a coupled Higgs field equation.
