Periodic solutions to a wave equation

open access: yesRocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics, 1976
The problem is to establish the existence of small ampli tude, time periodic solutions of (WE) ^-±a(^L) = o ...

Breather Wave and Kinky Periodic Wave Solutions of One-Dimensional Oskolkov Equation

open access: yesMathematical Modelling of Engineering Problems, 2019
Received: 14 April 2019 Accepted: 2 July 2019 In this work, we confer the propagation of nonlinear Kinky periodic wave and breather wave for the dominant nonlinear pseudo-parabolic physical models: the one-dimensional Oskolkov equation is explored.

Exact Traveling Wave Solutions of Explicit Type, Implicit Type, and Parametric Type for K(m,n) Equation

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
By using the integral bifurcation method, we study the nonlinear K(m,n) equation for all possible values of m and n. Some new exact traveling wave solutions of explicit type, implicit type, and parametric type are obtained.

A numerical study of the 3-periodic wave solutions to KdV-type equations [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Computational Physics, 2017
In this paper, by using the direct method of calculating periodic wave solutions proposed by Akira Nakamura, we present a numerical process to calculate the 3-periodic wave solutions to several KdV-type equations: the Korteweg–de Vries equation, the ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Observations on the tanh-coth expansion method for finding solutions to nonlinear evolution equations

open access: yes, 2010
The 'tanh-coth expansion method' for finding solitary travelling-wave solutions to nonlinear evolution equations has been used extensively in the literature. It is a natural extension to the basic tanh-function expansion method which was developed in the

Travelling wave solutions for the doubly dispersive equation using improved modified extended tanh-function method

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2022
In the present paper, the improved modified extended tanh-function method is employed to get new exact traveling wave solutions for the doubly dispersive model. Several types of solutions are obtained using the proposed method.

Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) in a Patient With Compound Heterozygous OPA1 Variants: Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Super‐Refractory Status Epilepticus (SRSE) is a rare, life‐threatening neurological emergency with unclear etiology in many cases. Mitochondrial dysfunction, often due to disease‐causing genetic variants, is increasingly recognized as a cause, with each gene producing distinct pathophysiological mechanisms.

Periodic wave shock solutions of Burgers equations

open access: yesCogent Mathematics & Statistics, 2018

Remote Assessment of Ataxia Severity in SCA3 Across Multiple Centers and Time Points

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3) is a genetically defined ataxia. The Scale for Assessment and Rating of Ataxia (SARA) is a clinician‐reported outcome that measures ataxia severity at a single time point. In its standard application, SARA fails to capture short‐term fluctuations, limiting its sensitivity in trials.
