Periodic Polyserositis (Periodic Disease)

Gastroenterology, 1962
Summary Periodic disease or familial Mediterranean fever is reviewed and periodic polyserositis is suggested as a more rational name for this syndrome. Three case reports are presented. In one of these a positive fluorescent antibody test was found, suggesting a relationship to the collagen diseases.

Periodic Cages.

ChemInform, 2005
Various cages are constructed by using three types of caps: f-cap (derived from spherical fullerenes by deleting zones of various size), kf-cap (obtainable by cutting off the polar ring, of size k), and t-cap ("tubercule"-cap). Building ways are presented, some of them being possible isomerization routes in the real chemistry of fullerenes.

Point-to-Periodic and Periodic-to-Periodic Connections

BIT Numerical Mathematics, 2004
The authors consider computing and continuing connecting orbits in parameter dependent dynamical systems. Some details of algorithms for computing connections between equilibria and periodic orbits, and between periodic orbits are given. The theoretical foundation of these techniques is given in the seminal work of \textit{W.-J. Beyn} [Contemp.

PERIODIC MODULES WITH LARGE PERIOD

The Quarterly Journal of Mathematics, 1992
One of the goals of modular representation theory is to understand projective resolutions of finitely generated modules for a modular group algebra. Eisenbud has proved that a module whose minimal resolution is bounded in dimension is periodic, in the sense that the modules and maps in the minimal resolution repeat with a certain period.

Periodic paralysis

2018
The periodic paralyses are a group of skeletal muscle channelopathies characterizeed by intermittent attacks of muscle weakness often associated with altered serum potassium levels. The underlying genetic defects include mutations in genes encoding the skeletal muscle calcium channel Cav1.1, sodium channel Nav1.4, and potassium channels Kir2.1, Kir3.4,
