Does apical root resection in endodontic microsurgery jeopardize the prosthodontic prognosis?
Apical surgery cuts off the apical root and the crown-to-root ratio becomes unfavorable. Crown-to-root ratio has been applied to periodontally compromised teeth. Apical root resection is a different matter from periodontal bone loss.

Diabetic bone defects remain a critical clinical challenge. A 3D‐printed BCPG‐MF@Y scaffold, embedding Yoda1‐functionalized manganese dioxide‐ferritin nanozymes, scavenges mtROS, suppresses the cGAS–STING pathway, and reverses cellular senescence, while Yoda1 activates Piezo1 to direct BMSCs fate to synergistically reprogram the osteoimmune ...

Bimanual instrument suturing technique for periodontal and implant microsurgery: A technical note
Abstract Background In the traditional suturing technique, the dominant hand (DH) holds a needle holder, and the non‐dominant hand (NH) performs manual ties without the aid of an instrument. In periodontal and implant microsurgery, finer sutures and needles, e.g., 7‐0 in International Organization for Standardization units, are used, which could be ...

Biocompatibility With Osteogenic Potential of Premixed Bioceramic Cements for Use in Apical Surgery
ABSTRACT This study investigated the biocompatibility and osteogenic potential of premixed bioceramic cements (PBCs)—CeraPutty, EndoCEM MTA Premixed, Well‐Root PT, and One‐Fil PT Injectable—as alternatives to mineral trioxide aggregate for retrograde filling in endodontic microsurgery.
