Enhancing Community‐Based Nursing Decision Support: Machine Learning Models for Diabetes Risk Prediction Using Home Health Nursing Notes

open access: yesPublic Health Nursing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives This study aimed to identify high‐risk factors for type 2 diabetes and develop a machine learning (ML)–based diabetes prediction model using nursing notes from home health care. Infection Complications in Pediatric Patients With Inborn Errors of Immunity After Umbilical Cord Blood Transplantation: A Chinese Single‐Center Study

open access: yesTransplant Infectious Disease, EarlyView.
This study reveals that infections are highly prevalent in pediatric IEI patients after umbilical cord blood transplantation, with early‐stage infections and bloodstream infections strongly associated with poorer survival. These findings advocate for risk‐stratified surveillance and preemptive strategies in high‐risk subgroups.

Evaluating the effects of a hospital utilisation improvement program on platelet transfusions: A pre‐post study

open access: yesTransfusion Medicine, EarlyView.

Microcirculatory perfusion is improved with plasma, but not with crystalloids, in a rat polytraumatic shock model

open access: yesTransfusion, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Traumatic shock is associated with microcirculatory dysfunction. Plasma resuscitation for traumatic shock outside the context of bleeding may exert benefit by augmenting intravascular volume and inhibiting endotheliopathy. However, its effects on microcirculatory perfusion and tissue oxygenation in trauma remain poorly understood ...
