Continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis.
The Journal of the Association of Physicians of India, 1997Continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) was used as renal replacement therapy in 55 patients for 666 patient months. Thirty five patients had Type II diabetes. They ranged in age from 1-83 years. Majority of the patients were above 50 years of age who could not be transplanted due to various comorbid conditions.
