Autoamputated adnexa presents as a peritoneal loose body
Fertility and Sterility, 2010We report a case of unilateral adnexal absence with a peritoneal loose body. Laparoscopic findings and medical history suggested that she had adnexal torsion in her childhood followed by its calcification and autoamputation.

Endoscopic extraction of a peritoneal loose body: a case report of an infant
Pediatric Surgery International, 2004A 2-month-old female infant with a peritoneal loose body presenting as an abdominal mass and urinary tract infection is described. Peritoneal loose bodies are usually found in the pelvis of adult patients. A peritoneal loose body should be considered in the differential diagnosis of a mobile lesion found in the abdomen.

Giant Peritoneal Loose Body in the Pelvic Cavity: Report of a Case
Surgery Today, 2003This report describes a giant peritoneal loose body in the pelvic cavity. A 63-year-old man who was asymptomatic underwent a routine medical examination, which revealed a tumor in the pelvic space. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging showed a smooth-surfaced mass with two marked calcifications in the central position.
