Perioperative management of cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraoperative thoraco-abdominal chemotherapy (HITAC) for pseudomyxoma peritonei

open access: yesIndian Journal of Anaesthesia, 2019
Peritoneal carcinomatosis is intraperitoneal spread of gastrointestinal and gynaecological cancers. Cytoreductive surgeries and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy offers survival benefits in these cases.

Appendiceal mucinous neoplasms: An uncertain nosological entity. Report of a case [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Introduction: Appendiceal mucocele is a relatively rare condition characterized by progressive dilation of the appendix caused by intraluminal accumulation of mucoid substance. Its incidence is 0.07 - 0,63% of all appendectomies performed.

LMO7 Suppresses Tumor‐Associated Macrophage Phagocytosis of Tumor Cells Through Degradation of LRP1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
LMO7 in tumor‐associated macrophages suppresses phagocytosis of tumor cells and limits cytotoxic T lymphocytes infiltration, fostering tumor progression. Mechanistically, LMO7 mediates the ubiquitination and degradation of the phagocytic receptor LRP1, impairing its ability to engulf tumor cells and driving macrophages toward an antitumor phenotype ...

Nuclear Factor I‐B Delays Liver Fibrosis by Inhibiting Chemokine Ligand 5 Transcription

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies the transcription factor Nuclear Factor I‐B (NFIB) as a key suppressor of liver fibrosis. NFIB expression declines during hepatic stellate cell activation, and its overexpression reduces fibrosis in mice models. The mechanism involves NFIB directly repressing chemokine C─C motif ligand 5 (CCL5), thereby alleviating oxidative ...

ITM2B Truncation Promotes Migrasome Formation to Accelerate Renal Cell Carcinoma Growth

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies truncated ITM2B as a regulator of migrasome formation in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) cells. The ITM2B truncation not only facilitates migrasome formation by recruiting TSPAN4, but also sorts active caspase‐7 into migrasomes. The internalization of active caspase‐7‐enriched migrasomes by macrophages stimulates IL‐6 secretion to ...

Lipid‐Driven OLR1/FOXM1/FGF19 Axis Orchestrates Crosstalk in an Epithelial‐Fibroblast Positive Feedback Promoting Progesterone Resistance in Endometrial Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
It is revealed that a metabolic–stromal loop driven by oxLDL–OLR1–FOXM1–FGF19 signaling promotes progesterone resistance in endometrial cancer. OxLDL activates epithelial–fibroblast crosstalk, enhancing proliferation and hormonal insensitivity. Disruption of this circuit, especially with resveratrol, restores MPA sensitivity, highlighting a potential ...

AIF1+CSF1R+ MSCs, induced by TNF‐α, act to generate an inflammatory microenvironment and promote hepatocarcinogenesis

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Mesenchymal stem cells subset, educated by TNF‐α, are involved to generate inflammatory microenvironment and promote hepatocarcinogenesis Abstract Background and Aims Increasing evidence suggests that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) home to injured local tissues and the tumor microenvironment in the liver.

The KDM6B/SLC10A2 Axis Suppresses MDSCs Recruitment via ERK/AP‐1 Signaling in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In wild‐type intestinal epithelial cells, KDM6B demethylates SLC10A2 to promote its expression, after which SLC10A2 suppresses ERK phosphorylation, inhibiting AP‐1 (Fos/Jun) transcription and chemokine production. In KDM6B‐deficient intestinal epithelial cells, SLC10A2 methylation increases, and its expression decreases.

Integrative Multi‐Omics Analysis Uncovers Immunological Phenotypes Predictive of Combinatorial Immunotherapy Response in Gastric Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current understanding of gastric cancer immunity remains inadequate, leading to suboptimal immunotherapy outcomes. This study introduces a novel tumor immune microenvironment classification system (Inflamed, Desert, and Excluded), advancing traditional histopathological or molecular subtyping toward a functional immunological framework.
