The non-permanence of optimal soil carbon sequestration [PDF]
Carbon sequestration in agricultural soils is considered as an option of greenhouse gas mitigation in many countries. But, the economic potential is limited by the dynamic process of saturation and the opportunity cost of land use change.

Two‐Dimensional Materials as a Multiproperty Sensing Platform
Various sensing modalities enabled and/or enhanced by two‐dimensional (2D) materials are reviewed. The domains considered for sensing include: 1) optoelectronics, 2) quantum defects, 3) scanning probe microscopy, 4) nanomechanics, and 5) bio‐ and chemosensing.

Microsphere Autolithography—A Scalable Approach for Arbitrary Patterning of Dielectric Spheres
MicroSphere Autolithography (µSAL) enables scalable fabrication of patchy particles with customizable surface motifs. Focusing light through dielectric microspheres creates well defined, tunable patches via a conformal poly(dopamine) photoresist. Nearly arbitrary surface patterns can be achieved, with the resolution set by the index contrast between ...

Stability and bifurcation analysis in a predator prey model involving additive Allee effect
In this paper we study codimension 1 Hopf bifurcation for a two dimensional autonomous nonlinear ordinary differential equations system, modeling a predator-prey interaction with Holling type II functional response and additive Allee effect in the prey ...

Permanence in a class of delay differential equations with mixed monotonicity
In this paper we consider a class of delay differential equations of the form $\dot{x}(t)=\alpha (t) h(x(t-\tau), x(t-\sigma))-\beta(t)f(x(t))$, where $h$ is a mixed monotone function.

The tracial Rokhlin property for an inclusion of unital $C^*$-algebras
We introduce and study a notion of Rokhlin property for an inclusion of unital $C^*$-algebras which could have no projections like the Jiang-Su algebra. We also introduce a notion of approximate representability and show a duality between them.

Dry electrode technology revolutionizes battery manufacturing by eliminating toxic solvents and energy‐intensive drying. This work details two promising techniques: dry spray deposition and polymer fibrillation. How their unique solvent‐free bonding mechanisms create uniform microstructures for thicker, denser electrodes, boosting energy density and ...
