Nonlinear control of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous wind Generator

2015 IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Latin America (ISGT LATAM), 2015
This work presents a nonlinear control of a wind generator equipped with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG). Three SISO controllers are developed, a Passivity based controller for the PMSG and its converter, and two Lyapunov controllers for the DC link and for the grid side converter, respectively.

Fabrication of dual-stator Permanent magnet synchronous generator

2015 Annual IEEE India Conference (INDICON), 2015
The paper reveals the fabrication details of an experimental setup of dual-stator Permanent magnet synchronous generators. These types of generators have been found to be best suited for stand-alone micro-hydro and wind power renewable energy generation.

Investigation of Force Generation in a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine

IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 2007
Traditional analysis of permanent magnet synchronous machines has focused upon establishing a relationship between the quadrature and direct axis stator current (or voltage) and the electromagnetic force created to establish rotation (torque). In this paper, an alternative analysis of electromagnetic force production is considered.

Simulation of Permanent Magnet Surface Mounted Synchronous Generator

2011 1st International Conference on Electrical Energy Systems, 2011
This paper presents the simulation results of a Surface Mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (SMPMSG) for varying rotor diameter and stator core lengths. Samarium cobalt magnet is used for the rotor. The simulation of the SMPMSG was done using the software package Infolitica/ Magnet.

Thermal Coupling Analysis of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator

2014
The construction and thermal analysis of the 2 KW generator designed for a small wind power station with vertical axis of rotation was presented in this article. The analysis is required in order to determine temperature distribution inside the machine to avoid magnets demagnetization and insulation damage. The presented thermal analysis of synchronous
