Technology‐Enabled Sustainability: Behavior‐Based Carbon Footprint Levy in Hotels
ABSTRACT The paper explores the predisposition of domestic and international urban tourists of Athens, Greece, to pay an app‐calculated green levy based on the carbon footprint (CF) of their hotel stay. The study employs fuzzy‐set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to explore the complex configurations between the effects of the sustainable hotel

Bounded Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Uncertainty, Perceptions, and Tensions
ABSTRACT Entrepreneurs experience subjective perceptions of uncertainty and other barriers as they attempt to design their business model. These create boundaries of a cognitive nature that entrepreneurs must navigate. It has been suggested that sustainable entrepreneurship is inherently even more uncertain and complex than traditional entrepreneurship.

Postoperative Evolution of Health‐Related Quality of Life in Patients With Head and Neck Cancer
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Although there is an abundant international literature evaluating quality of life in patients with head and neck cancer, most of these studies include heterogeneous populations from a therapeutic point of view, without discriminating precisely among therapeutic modalities: whether patients underwent surgery or were ...

Abstract We evaluated the effect of in situ acidification of common estuarine macroinvertebrates from the Elbe estuary on stable isotope ratios, as the non‐removal of non‐dietary carbon can significantly influence aquatic food web analyses. A 10% HCl solution was used to remove inorganic carbon from crustaceans, which potentially biases the true ratio ...

High‐Speed Multimode Fiber Imaging Using Binary‐Modulated Silicon Photonics Optical Phased Array
A multimode fiber imaging system at 500 frames per second is experimentally demonstrated. It is enabled by a p‐i‐n diode‐based silicon photonics optical phased array. To simplify the electrical driving of p‐i‐n diodes, a binary modulation method with a costumed‐designed digital driver circuit is proposed. Reconstruction of each frame takes only 0.1 ms,
