Design and Modeling of a High‐Displacement, Skin‐Integrated Flexible Electromagnetic Actuator for Haptic Interfaces in Virtual Reality

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A flexible, skin‐integrated electromagnetic actuator is developed for wearable virtual/augmented reality (VR/AR) haptic systems. A tunable design model enables control over displacement and resonance frequency. The system is validated through a custom VR application with a 6 × 4 actuator array, demonstrating real‐time, spatially targeted tactile ...

Development of a PM linear motor for driving HTS maglev vehicle [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The phenomenon that a permanent magnet (PM) over a high temperature superconductor (HTS) bulk can produce strong levitation force with self-stabilizing feature has attracted strong interest of application in maglev transportation systems, in which a ...

Allosteric Modulation of Pathological Ataxin‐3 Aggregation: A Path to Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type‐3 Therapies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study uncovers a new allosteric site in the Josephin domain of ataxin‐3 targeted by the molecular tweezer CLR01, which modulates protein aggregation, improves synaptic function in neuronal cells, and delays motor dysfunction in animal models.

Using Modular Pole for Multi-Objective Design Optimization of a Linear Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor by Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2010
In this paper particle swarm optimization (PSO) is used for a design optimization of a linear permanent magnet synchronous motor (LPMSM) considering ultra low thrust force ripples, low magnet consumption, improved efficiency and thrust.

Sleep Alters the Velocity of Physiological Brain Pulsations in Humans

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sleep alters I/CSF oscillatory flow, driven by increased respiratory (29%) and vasomotor pulsation (21%) velocities, while cardiovascular pulsations decreased by (22%). Velocity is quantified using optical flow analysis of MREG data. Spectral power increases alongside these pulsations (spatial correlation, r = 0.35 and r = 0.39, respectively ...

NDST3‐Induced Epigenetic Reprogramming Reverses Neurodegeneration in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NDST3‐mediated epigenetic reprogramming revitalizes neuronal circuits in the substantia nigra and striatum to halt dopaminergic neuron degeneration and restore motor function in Parkinson's disease models. This strategy promotes neuronal maintenance and functional recovery, highlighting NDST3's therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative disorders ...

Simulation and Analysis of Magnetisation Characteristics of Interior Permanent Magnet Motors

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2005
Modern permanent magnet (PM) synchronous brushless machines often have magnetic circuits in which the patterns of saturation are complex and highly variable with the position of the rotor.

A quantitative comparison between BLDC, PMSM, brushed DC and stepping motor technologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Brushless DC machines (BLDC), Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM), Stepping Motors and Brushed DC machines (BDC) usage is ubiquitous in the power range below 1,5kW. There is a lot of common knowledge on these technologies.

Static Thrust Characteristics of Permanent Magnet Type Linear Synchronous Motor.

open access: yesIEEJ Transactions on Industry Applications, 1991
This paper deals with the analyzing results of static thrust of a permanent magnet type linear synchronous motor (LSM) from both sides of theory and experiment. It is necessary to make clear how the width and taper length of the permanent magnet affect static thrust characteristics of a LSM, because it was not so definite. In this paper, the following ...
