Improvement of Cogging Thrust in Permanent‐Magnet‐Type Linear Synchronous Motors

SUMMARYThis paper presents a method for reducing cogging thrust in permanent‐magnet‐type linear synchronous motors. A phase shift method and supplement tooth method are proposed. The methods do not affect the original thrust performance of the linear motor, nor do they greatly modify its basic shape.
