Fully 3D‐Printed Wave‐Wound Electromagnetic Motors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work presents the first fully 3D‐printed wave‐wound electromagnetic motors, which are created using conductive nanoparticle inks, carbon‐filled nylon polymers, and surface mount components. These motors can achieve a stall torque of 7.62N·mmA−1$7.62 \nobreakspace N{\cdot }mm A^{-1}$ and efficiency of 28.2 %, which approaches the performance of ...

Analysis of brushless permanent magnet synchronous motors

IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 1996
A brief design review of permanent magnet synchronous motors has been presented. A procedure has been developed to predict the steady state and dynamic performances of a brushless permanent magnet synchronous motor. Finite element analysis has been combined with a lumped parameter circuit model in order to provide satisfactory engineering information ...

The Study of Permanent Magnet Demagnetization in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

2021 IEEE International Conference on Advances in Electrical Engineering and Computer Applications (AEECA), 2021
Permanent magnet demagnetization is one of the common faults of permanent magnet synchronous motor, which seriously threatens the safe and reliable operation of the motor and reduces the service life of the motor. Based on the principle of permanent magnet demagnetization, this paper analyzes the causes of irreversible permanent magnet demagnetization.

Permanent-magnet motors for brushless operation

IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1990
The design considerations for permanent-magnet motors intended for brushless operation are discussed. Two rotor configurations are described: the imbricated rotor and the segmented rotor. The segmented rotor is designed specially for high-speed operation.
