Wind turbine permanent magnet synchronous generator magnetic field study

The paper shows a 2D finite element optimization method for a wind turbine permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) transverse geometry. Keeping the same rotor diameter the generator’s magnetic flux is maximized by changing the permanent magnets and rotoric slot opening dimensions.
