NEW ADAPTIVE CONTROL STRATEGIES FOR OPEN-END WINDING PERMANENT MAGNET SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR(OEW-PMSG) FOR WIND POWER GENERATION [PDF]
A wind turbine system with an new open-end-winding permanent magnet synchronous generator (OEW-PMSG) is studied in this paper, with a focus on torque ripple minimisation of the OEW-PMSG. The problem of torque ripple minimisation of OEW-PMSGs is addressed. Generally, the q-axis current injection method is employed to suppress the torque ripple. However,

Stability for Wind Turbine using Observer method with Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG)
Abstract The paper proposes stability for Wind Turbine in the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG). This control makes the synchronous generator reach to optimal current. To show a mathematical model of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator conversion system is developed.

Variety of Characteristic Magnetic Material on Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG)
Wind energy conversion system, one of the main components is a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG). During the past two decades, many types of permanent magnet generators for wind power applications have been the research topic. This study focuses primarily on designing a PMSG to create, simulate, and analyze an internal permanent magnet ...

Nonlinear control of permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSG) using feedback linearization
This paper presents nonlinear control of permanent magnet synchronous generators using feedback linearization. Permanent-magnet synchronous generators (PMSGs) are commonly used for small variable-speed wind turbines to produce highefficiency, high-reliability, and low-cost wind power generation.

New Adaptive Control Strategy for a Wind Turbine Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) [PDF]
Wind energy conversion systems have become a key technology to harvest wind energy worldwide. In permanent magnet synchronous generator-based wind turbine systems, the rotor position is needed for variable speed control and it uses an encoder or a speed sensor. However, these sensors lead to some obstacles, such as additional weight and cost, increased

Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Generator it can provide highly reliable power generation with small in size, no copper losses in the rotor circuit, no need for external excitation. We designed and simulated the PMSG with 12 slots and 8 poles with an alternating polarity magnet configuration: NN-SS-NN-SS-NN-SS-NN-SS-NN-SS-NN magnetic flux per pole in the ...

In this work, the performance of a 500 W permanent magnet synchronous generator was evaluated in MATLAB /Simulink. The Simulink model consists of a wind turbine, a PMSG, and an AC – DC rectifier. The PMSG input parameter were measured and inputted in the Simulink block while the output results were voltages, currents and power respectively.
