Dynamic Permanent Magnet Flux Estimation of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines

IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity, 2010
This paper deals with rotor flux estimation in permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM). In most application, the rotor flux linkage is treated as a known constant. However a high operation temperature or a stator winding current impulse may cause magnet flux ripple or demagnetization which has direct impact on machines performance.

Current reference governor of permanent magnet synchronous machine

2016 XXII International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM), 2016
This paper presents a control method for constrained control of a permanent magnet synchronous machine. The control system utilizes field oriented PI current control tuned using linear control theory to obtain good steady- state performance and a fast transient response.

Machine Learning to optimize Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines

2020 IEEE 2nd International Conference on Civil Aviation Safety and Information Technology (ICCASIT, 2020
In this paper, we offer a possible approach to estimating motor parameters: Machine Learning. We begin with a simulation of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) model using MATLAB and Simulink. We measure the voltage and current and then send the data to a machine learning model (TensorFlow).

Study on Permanent Magnet Demagnetization Characteristics in Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines

Advanced Materials Research, 2011
When Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSM) working with rated load or overload, stator iron loss and copper loss, bearings friction loss, permanent magnet (PM) eddy-current all will cause PM temperature rise. In this condition, the PM is affected by the temperature and the stator of the reverse magnetic field generated prone to arouse ...

Vector Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine

2020 IEEE 26th International Symposium for Design and Technology in Electronic Packaging (SIITME), 2020
This paper presents the implementation of a vector control for a permanent magnet synchronous machine. MATLAB-Simulink simulations were used to obtain preliminary results for three implementations of the vector control block. For a maximum torque the current $\mathrm{i}_{\mathrm{d}}$ was set to zero and the $\mathrm{q}$ component of the current was

Diagnostic tests of permanent magnet synchronous machines

2015 IEEE 5th International Conference on Power Engineering, Energy and Electrical Drives (POWERENG), 2015
In this article issues related to the diagnostics of permanent magnet synchronous machines have been presented. Methods of vibration diagnostics and main winding insulation diagnostic have been presented. Vibrations detection method is based on measurement of voltage generated during vibration of the machine.

Fields in permanent magnet linear synchronous machines

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1986
The determination of electromagnetic fields in permanent magnet linear synchronous machines (PMLSM's) to form the basis for the evaluation of forces and parameters of PMLSM'S (to be presented in a subsequent paper) is discussed. Analytical techniques applied to permanent magnet rotary synchronous machines are modified and adapted to PMLSM's. Fields are

A synchronous/permanent magnet hybrid AC machine

IEEE International Electric Machines and Drives Conference. IEMDC'99. Proceedings (Cat. No.99EX272), 2000
In this paper, a synchronous/permanent magnet hybrid (SynPM) machine is presented. It is shown that the machine has good power density and efficiency, and that the machine has true field regulation capability. The principle of operation, finite element analysis and simulation of this new machine are investigated in the paper.
