In most application, the rotor flux linkage is treated as a known constant. However a high operation temperature or a stator winding current impulse may cause magnet flux ripple or demagnetization which has direct impact on machines performance.

2016 XXII International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM), 2016This paper presents a control method for constrained control of a permanent magnet synchronous machine. The control system utilizes field oriented PI current control tuned using linear control theory to obtain good steady- state performance and a fast transient response.
