Research of Magnetic Field Distribution in the Working Area of Disk Separator, Taking Into Account an Influence of Materials of Permanent Magnets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Based on the results of a numerical-field analysis of the distribution of the magnetic force field in the working area of the disk magnetic separator, designed to clean bulk substances from ferromagnetic inclusions, the influence of the magnetic material

Prognostic Impact of Treatment Modalities, Including Targeted Compartmental Radio‐Immunotherapy, in a Cohort of Neuroblastoma Patients With CNS Metastases at Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

Clinical Characteristics and Prognostic Risk Factors for Pediatric B‐Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study for China Net Childhood Lymphoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background B‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B‐LBL) represents a rare variety of non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, with limited research on its biology, progression, and management. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical characteristics of 256 patients aged ≤18 years who received treatment under the China Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL)‐

New structural features and pinning-evolved coercivity mechanism: A potential route for developing high coercivities in anisotropic Sm-Fe-N material

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
Sm-Fe-N material holds immense promise as new material for developing next generation permanent magnets. However, the achievement of high coercivity in this material remains a big challenge, and moreover new coercivity theories beyond the commonly ...

Disordered but rhythmic—the role of intrinsic protein disorder in eukaryotic circadian timing

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Unstructured domains known as intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are present in nearly every part of the eukaryotic core circadian oscillator. IDRs enable many diverse inter‐ and intramolecular interactions that support clock function. IDR conformations are highly tunable by post‐translational modifications and environmental conditions, which ...

Integration of Sm2Co17 Micromagnets in a Ferromagnetic Multipolar Microrotor to Enhance MEMS and Micromotor Performance

open access: yesMicromachines
MEMS and micromotors may benefit from the increasing complexity of rotors by integrating a larger number of magnetic dipoles. In this article, a new microassembly and bonding process to integrate multiple Sm2Co17 micromagnets in a ferromagnetic core is ...

Significant progress of grain boundary diffusion process for cost-effective rare earth permanent magnets: A review

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2021
Rare earth permanent magnets are essential in a plethora of electrical machine and renewable energy. Nd-Fe-B magnets account for half of the market share of permanent magnets due to their excellent room temperature magnetic properties.

Theory of Thermal Remagnetization of Permanent Magnets

open access: yes, 2001
A self-consistent mean-field theory explaining the thermal remagnetization (TR) of polycrystalline permanent magnets is given. The influence of the environment of a grain is treated by an inclusion approximation, relating the field inside the grain to ...

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Reciprocating linear motor [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
A reciprocating linear motor is formed with a pair of ring-shaped permanent magnets having opposite radial polarizations, held axially apart by a nonmagnetic yoke, which serves as an axially displaceable armature assembly. A pair of annularly wound coils
