The evaluation of permethrin for wood preservation
Pesticide Science, 1977AbstractThe toxicity of the synthetic pyrethroid permethrin (NRDC 143) to a range of wood destroying insects has been investigated. In tests using Hylotrupes bajulus, Anobium punctatum, Lyctus brunneus and Reticulitermes santonensis permethrin showed a similar order of toxicity to that of gamma‐BHC.

Insecticidal properties of permethrin and permethrin-based agents.
Journal of hygiene, epidemiology, microbiology, and immunology, 1983A study of some insecticidal properties of a new pyrethroid, permethrin, showed that it was a highly effective insecticide at contact, superior in this respect to neopinamin for German cockroaches, houseflies and bedbugs and superior to sumithrin for German cockroaches. Combinations of permethrin with neopinamin displayed synergism.
