Confinement‐Induced Metastable Supramolecular Assembly: Dynamic Built‐in Electric Field Driving Deep Mineralization of Organic Pollutants

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Utilizing the 2D confined space of layered double hydroxide (LDH), living supramolecular assembly (LSA) are successfully prepared with smaller intermolecular distances than in crystals. The IEF enhancement value can reach 11.8 times, which induces a charge separation efficiency of 71.52%.

Cu─X Bonds Regulated Conduction and Polarization Loss in Conductive Metal‐Organic Framework Under Electromagnetic Field

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A ligand regulation strategy by modifying functional motifs (X = −NH2, −OH, and −SH) in triphenylene is pioneered and developed to afford Cu─X bonds, achieving a synergistic conduction and polarisation loss mechanism under an electromagnetic field for enhanced electromagnetic wave absorption. Abstract Conduction and polarization are known to profoundly

Effect of Inhomogeneous Temperature in Chip‐Scale Infrared Thermal Sources: A Revisited Blackbody Radiation Formula with Experimental Validation

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Revisited Black‐body radiation formula accounting for nonuniform temperature is proposed for calibration of planar thermal light sources. Calibration of optical power is based on measurement of the highest and lowest temperatures. Abstract Miniature and low‐cost light sources are highly desirable for numerous optical microsystems.

Mobility‐Lifetime Products in Organic Infrared Photodiodes with Peak Absorption at 1550 nm

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study analyzes the mobility‐lifetime products in organic infrared photodiodes with different donor‐to‐acceptor ratios to examine charge collection performance. Abstract Infrared photodiodes based on organic semiconductors are promising for low‐cost sensors that operate at room temperature. However, their realization remains hampered by poor device

Vertical Phase Separation in Blended Organic Semiconducting Films and Impact on Their Electrical and Direct X‐Ray Detection Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The composition of blends of 1,4,8,11‐tetramethyl‐6,13‐triethylsilylethynyl pentacene (TMTES) and polystyrene (PS) to be used in Organic Field‐Effect Transistors (OFETs) is optimized to achieve and enhance thin film crystallinity and a reduced charge trap density at the semiconductor/dielectric interface.

The complex permittivity of PEDOT:PSS

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2023
High permittivity materials are required for efficient organic photovoltaic devices, and the addition of the conjugated polymer composite poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophen) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT:PSS) to dielectric polymers has been shown to significantly heighten their permittivity.

Permittivity of suspensions

Optics and Spectroscopy, 2002
The permittivity of a suspension treated as a system of hard spheres is calculated in the Born approximation. The structure of the suspension is described by the Percus-Yevick correlation function. The permittivity of the system under consideration is expressed through a nonlocal susceptibility whose spatial extension is determined by the form factor ...

Interpretation and Separability of the Effective Permittivity in Case that Both Permittivity and Conductivity are Complex

2023 URSI International Symposium on Electromagnetic Theory (EMTS), 2023
The paper is about the interpretation and separability of the effective permittivity in case that both the permittivity and the conductivity are dispersive and thus complex-valued. It is shown that: a) it is always possible to retrieve the static conductivity and the high-frequency (optical) permittivity from the effective permittivity; b) it is in ...

Improved Permittivity Calibration Method for Wideband In Situ Permittivity Probe

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2013
This letter discusses about an improved permittivity probe calibration method for calculating the complex permittivity of soils from reflection data over a very wide bandwidth. The accuracy of this method is demonstrated using reflection data collected from a unique wideband (10-1000 MHz) permittivity probe specifically designed for quick in situ ...

Optimization Techniques on Permittivity Distribution in Permittivity Graded Solid Insulators

Conference Record of the 2006 IEEE International Symposium on Electrical Insulation, 2006
We have proposed a new concept for solid insulation; an application of FGM (functionally graded materials). By controlling the distribution of dielectric permittivity inside solid insulators, we can achieve the efficient field control with keeping simple configuration of solid insulators.
