Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Gain assisted nanocomposite multilayers with near zero permittivity modulus at visible frequencies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We have fabricated a layered nano-composite by alternating metal and gain medium layers, the gain dielectric consisting of a polymer incorporating optically pumped dye molecules.

Sonication‐Assisted Palladium Nanogaps in a Capacitive Structure: A Tunable and Reliable Solution for Sensitive Hydrogen Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a capacitive hydrogen sensor with a simple structure and process. Sonication‐induced Pd nanogaps modulate the effective electrode area in response to hydrogen concentration, resulting in capacitance changes within a range predefined by physical parameters.

Condensation of the atomic relaxation vibrations in lead-magnesium-niobate at $T=T^*$

open access: yes, 2013
We present neutron diffraction, dielectric permittivity and photoconductivity measurements, evidencing that lead-magnesium niobate experiences a diffuse phase transformation between the spherical glass and quadrupole glass phases, in the temperature ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Temperature evolution of dielectric characteristics of PVDF and P(VDF-TrFE) films produced by 4D printing

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов
In this work, films of polyvinylidene fluoride, copolymer of vinylidene fluoride and trifluoroethylene have been studied. The samples were made by direct ink writing technology. Some of the produced films were polarized in the corona discharge field. The

Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Nontrivial dependence of dielectric stiffness and SHG on dc bias in relaxors and dipole glasses

open access: yes, 2004
Dielectric permittivity and Second Harmonic Generation (SHG) studies in the field-cooled mode show a linear dependence of dielectric stiffness (inverse dielectric permittivity) on dc bias in PMN-PT crystals and SHG intensity in KTaO$_{3}$:Li at small Li ...

Domain Nucleation and Growth in an Epitaxially Grown Wurtzite Ferroelectric

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric domain nucleation and growth in epitaxial wurtzite (Al, B, Sc)N films are visualized through in situ transmission electron microscopy. Domains initiate near the bottom electrode and propagate laterally with zigzag walls, while unswitched regions remain near the electrode interfaces.
