What's New? Lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) is more aggressive than lung adenocarcinoma, and is most often diagnosed at an advanced stage. Here, the authors evaluated gene expression data from LUSC tumors and came up with gene signatures for 34 genetic abnormalities whose expression changes throughout different precancerous stages. Several of these

On Finite Groups with Permutable Generalized Subnormal Subgroups
Розглянуто проблему Кегеля - Шеметкова про знаходження класів скінченних груп F таких, що в будь-якій скінченнiй групi добуток переставних F -субнормальних пiдгруп є F -субнормальною підгрупою.We study the Kegel–Shemetkov problem of finding the classes ...

This study provides contemporary, population‐based evidence that migration‐associated differences in gastric cancer risk, first described decades ago, remain stable, quantifiable, and prevention‐relevant in the United States. By integrating modern cancer registry data with formal trend analysis and conditional extrapolation, the authors show that ...

Growth of generating sets for direct powers of classical algebraic structures
For an algebraic structure A denote by d(A) the smallest size of a generating set for A, and let d(A)=(d(A),d(A2),d(A3),…), where An denotes a direct power of A.

On Groups which are Products of Weakly Totally Permutable Subgroups
This work is a contribution to the theory of products of ï¬nite groups. A group G = AB is a weakly totally permutable product of subgroups A and B if every subgroup, U of A such that U ≤ A ∩ B or A ∩ B ≤ U, permutes with every subgroup of B and

Gene expression signatures from single‐cell transcriptomics predict Sjögren's syndrome
A machine learning‐based 12‐gene signature (SjS.Sig) was developed from scRNA‐seq data of PBMCs from Sjögren's syndrome patients. The model was validated using bulk RNA‐seq datasets and further confirmed through flow cytometry and qPCR analysis in an independent clinical cohort, demonstrating robust diagnostic potential.

The gut microbiota has emerged as a metabolically active endocrine‐like organ with a crucial role in coronary artery disease (CAD), yet its contribution to adverse clinical outcomes remains incompletely understood. In this prospective cohort of 319 participants, we integrated metagenomic and metabolomic profiling with longitudinal follow‐up over a ...

Medical Reasoning With Large Language Models: A Systematic Review and Evaluation
ABSTRACT Large language models (LLMs) have achieved strong performance on medical exam–style tasks, motivating growing interest in their deployment in real‐world clinical settings. However, clinical decision‐making is inherently safety‐critical, context‐dependent, and conducted under evolving evidence.
