2-closures of primitive permutation groups of holomorph type

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2019
The 2-closure G(2) of a permutation group G on a finite set Ω is the largest subgroup of Sym(Ω) which has the same orbits as G in the induced action on Ω × Ω.

Regular permutations and their applications in crystallography [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
The representation of a group G in the form of regular permutations is widely used for studying the structure of finite groups, in particular, parameters like the group density function. This is related to the increased potential of computer technologies

Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

A Novel Algorithm of Constructing Highly Nonlinear S-p-boxes

open access: yesCryptography, 2019
The role of substitution boxes is very important in block ciphers. Substitution boxes are utilized to create confusion in the cryptosystem. However, to create both confusion and diffusion in any cryptosystem p-boxes and chaos base substitution boxes are ...

MicroRNA 196a contributes to the aggressiveness of esophageal adenocarcinoma through the MYC/TERT/NFκB axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
mir‐196a promotes Esophagus Adenocarcinoma aggressiveness. On one hand, mir‐196a targets the valosin‐containing protein (VCP) mRNA, causing the accumulation of c‐MYC protein that leads to high amounts of TERT. On the other hand, mir‐196a targets the inhibitor of NFκB (NFKBIA).

On graph-restrictive permutation groups

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Theory, Series B, 2012
Let $Γ$ be a connected $G$-vertex-transitive graph, let $v$ be a vertex of $Γ$ and let $L=G_v^{Γ(v)}$ be the permutation group induced by the action of the vertex-stabiliser $G_v$ on the neighbourhood $Γ(v)$. Then $(Γ,G)$ is said to be \emph{locally-$L$}.

Comprehensive omics‐based classification system in adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The COMBAT classification system, developed through multi‐omics integration, stratifies adult patients with B‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B‐ALL) into three molecular subtypes with distinct surface antigen patterns, immune landscape, methylation patterns, biological pathways and prognosis.

An Image Encryption Algorithm Based on Time-Delay and Random Insertion

open access: yesEntropy, 2018
An image encryption algorithm is presented in this paper based on a chaotic map. Different from traditional methods based on the permutation-diffusion structure, the keystream here depends on both secret keys and the pre-processed image.

Circulating tumor DNA monitoring and blood tumor mutational burden in patients with metastatic solid tumors treated with atezolizumab

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In patients treated with atezolizumab as a part of the MyPathway (NCT02091141) trial, pre‐treatment ctDNA tumor fraction at high levels was associated with poor outcomes (radiographic response, progression‐free survival, and overall survival) but better sensitivity for blood tumor mutational burden (bTMB).
