Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

QUASI-PERMUTATION REPRESENTATIONS OF METACYCLIC 2-GROUPS [PDF]
By a quasi-permutation matrix we mean a square matrix over the complex field C with non-negative integral trace. Thus, every permutation matrix over C is a quasipermutation matrix.

Composition of Permutation Representations of Triangle Groups [PDF]
A triangle group is denoted by $\Delta(p,q,r)$ and has finite presentation $$ \Delta(p,q,r)=\langle x,y | x^p=y^q=(xy)^r=1 \rangle .$$ We examine a method for composition of permutation representations of a triangle group $\Delta(p,q,r)$ that was used in

Minimal Faithful Permutation Degrees for Irreducible Coxeter Groups and Binary Polyhedral Groups
In this article we calculate the minimal faithful permutation degree for all of the irreducible Coxeter groups. We also exhibit new examples of finite groups that possess a quotient whose minimal degree is strictly greater than that of the group.Comment:

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

3-Homogeneous Groups and Block-Transitive 7–(v, k, 3) Designs
The classification of a block-transitive designs is an important subject on algebraic combinatorics. With the aid of MATLAB software, using the classification theorem of 3-homogeneous permutation groups, we look at the classification problem of block ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Closures of permutation groups with restricted nonabelian composition factors
Given a permutation group G on a finite set [Formula: see text], let [Formula: see text] denote the k-closure of G, that is, the largest permutation group on [Formula: see text] having the same orbits in the induced action on [Formula: see text] as G ...

Primitive permutation groups containing a cycle
The primitive finite permutation groups containing a cycle are classified. Of these, only the alternating and symmetric groups contain a cycle fixing at least three points.
