Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Role of spontaneous strains on the biphasic nature of partial B-site disorder double perovskite La2NiMnO6

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2018
Double perovskite La2NiMnO6 is an attractive spintronic material with magnetocapacitance and magnetoresistance effects. These outstanding properties are associated with the biphasic characteristic and anti-site defects.

Flexoelectrically Induced Polar Topology in Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Twisted SrTiO3 bilayers host polar vortices of flexoelectric origin, revealed through combined experiment and theory. By reconstructing polarization from the toroidal moment of strain gradients, the work establishes a 3D chiral state with broken inversion and mirror symmetries.

MA-activated lattice shrinkage and bandgap renormalization advancing the stability of FA1-xMAxPbI3 (x=0–1) perovskites photovoltaic

open access: yesAdvanced Powder Materials
Generally, referring to the stability of perovskite, the most studied perovskite material has been MA-free mixed-cation perovskite. The precise role of MA in the light-thermal-humid stability of perovskite solar cells still lacks of a systematically ...

Energetic Offset in Organic Solar Cells‐ Importance, Confusion and Outlook

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Energetic offsets in organic solar cells (OSCs) remain a subject of debate due to measurement‐ and lab‐dependent discrepancies. This Perspective clarifies the physical origins of these variations and identifies temperature‐dependent electro‐optical methods as a reliable approach to obtain consistent offset values.
