Sustainability in Perovskite Solar Cells
ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2020At a current value of 25.5%, perovskites have reached some of the highest power conversion efficiencies of all single-junction solar cell devices. Researchers, however, are questioning their readiness for the commercial market, citing reasons of the toxicity of the lead-based active layer and instability.

Quasi‐Heteroface Perovskite Solar Cells
Small, 2020AbstractPerovskite solar cells (PSCs) have attracted unprecedented attention due to their rapidly rising photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE). In order to further improve the PCE of PSCs, new possible optimization path needs to be found. Here, quasi‐heteroface PSCs (QHF‐PSCs) is designed by a double‐layer perovskite film.

Graded bandgap perovskite solar cells
Nature Materials, 2016Organic-inorganic halide perovskite materials have emerged as attractive alternatives to conventional solar cell building blocks. Their high light absorption coefficients and long diffusion lengths suggest high power conversion efficiencies, and indeed perovskite-based single bandgap and tandem solar cell designs have yielded impressive performances ...

Interfaces in Perovskite Solar Cells
Small, 2015The interfacial atomic and electronic structures, charge transfer processes, and interface engineering in perovskite solar cells are discussed in this review. An effective heterojunction is found to exist at the window/perovskite absorber interface, contributing to the relatively fast extraction of free electrons.

All-Inorganic Perovskite Solar Cells
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2016The research field on perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is seeing frequent record breaking in the power conversion efficiency (PCE). However, organic-inorganic hybrid halide perovskites and organic additives in common hole-transport materials (HTMs) exhibit poor stability against moisture and heat. Here we report the successful fabrication of all-inorganic

Semi-Opaque Perovskite Solar Cells
The Journal of Physical Chemistry LettersTransparent photovoltaics are garnering significant interest for power generation in applications where light transmission is required. Metal halide perovskites have emerged as one of the most lucrative material classes for such device architectures due to their exceptional optoelectronic properties, and compositional versatility enabling a wide range ...

2014
In this chapter, a new type of thin-film solar cell based on perovskite light harvester is described. Since a high-efficiency all-solid-state perovskite solar cell was first reported in 2012, rapid progress was made within one year. As a result, a power conversion efficiency as high as 15% was achieved in 2013.
