Phase Evolution Kinetics in Additive‐Free 19.75% Organic Photovoltaics Empowered by Solvent Vapor Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solvent vapor annealing enables kinetic control of additive‐free morphology in organic solar cells. Selective plasticization of acceptor forms an optimal fibrillar network, boosting efficiency to 19.06% (binary) and 19.75% (ternary), with ultrafast exciton dissociation and reduced recombination.

Temperature-Induced Reversible and Irreversible Transitions between Metastable Perovskite Phases in the BiFe1−yScyO3 Solid Solutions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The antipolar orthorhombic Pnma phase with the √2ap × 4ap × 2 √2ap superstructure (ap ~4 Å is the pseudocubic perovskite unit-cell parameter) is observed in many perovskite compositions derived from BiFeO3.

Synthesis and electrical conductivity of La0.6Sr0.4Ru0.9Mg0.1O3-.DELTA. perovskite solid solution

open access: yesJournal of the Ceramic Society of Japan, 2009
La0.6Sr0.4Ru0.9Mg0.1O3-δ (LSRM) powder was prepared by co-precipitation method using ammonium carbonate solution and nitrate solutions. The freeze-dried suspension was decomposed at 1000°C in air. The obtained LSRM powder was sintered in air at 1200°C for 4 h to measure the electrical conductivity.

Enhancement of Dielectric Breakdown Strength and Recoverable Energy Density in Three‐Dimensional Heterointerfaces on BaTiO3–PbZrO3–PbTiO3 Films via Room‐Temperature Nano‐Clustering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A room‐temperature aerosol deposition process yields multiphase nano‐clustered dielectric capacitors containing discrete BaTiO3, PbZrO3, and PbTiO3 crystals. This architecture creates three‐dimensional heterointerfaces that induce interfacial charge trapping and effectively inhibit breakdown propagation.

Controlled Engineering of 2D Alkali‐Iron‐Chloride Compounds and Lateral Quantum Heterostructures Within Confined Graphene Nanoreactors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a programmable atomic engineering strategy for 2D materials using Å‐scale nanoreactors formed by bilayer graphene (BLG) intercalation. A new class of alkali‐iron‐chloride compounds, along with lateral heterostructures composed of monolayer alkali halides and iron chlorides, is revealed.
