Optimized Effective Potential Model for the Double Perovskites Sr2-xYxVMoO6 and Sr2-xYxVTcO6

open access: yes, 2011
In attempt to explore half-metallic properties of the double perovskites Sr2-xYxVMoO6 and Sr2-xYxVTcO6, we construct an effective low-energy model, which describes the behavior of the t2g-states of these compounds.

First-order Raman spectra of double perovskites AB$'{1/2}B$''{1/2}O3

open access: yes, 2004
First principles computations of Raman intensities were performed for perovskite-family compound CaAl$_{1/2}$Nb$_{1/2}$O$_3$ (CAN). This compound features 1:1 (NaCl-type) ordering of Al and Nb superimposed onto the $b^-b^-c+$ octahedral tilting.

Altermagnetic perovskites

open access: yesnpj Spintronics
Altermagnet is a class of antiferromagnets, which shows a staggered spin ordering with wave vector ${\bm q}=0$, while its net magnetization is canceled out in the limit of zero relativistic spin-orbit coupling. The simplest case is when the up and down spins are ordered on two crystallographically equivalent sublattice sites within the unit cell that ...

A Review of Three-Dimensional Tin Halide Perovskites as Solar Cell Materials

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2022
Thin film solar cell materials such as 3D metal halide perovskites are cheaper alternatives to silicon. Presently, the conversion efficiency of 3D lead halide perovskites is 25.5% (2021), which represents an increase of more than 550% since their ...

Low energy paths for octahedral tilting in inorganic halide perovskites

open access: yes, 2018
Instabilities relating to cooperative octahedral tilting is common in materials with perovskite structures, and in particular in the sub class of halide perovskites.

Jahn-Teller, polarity and insulator-to-metal transition in BiMnO3 at high pressure [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The interaction of coexisting structural instabilities in multiferroic materials gives rise to intriguing coupling phenomena and extraordinarily rich phase diagrams, both in bulk materials and strained thin films.

Enabling low-drift flexible perovskite photodetectors by electrical modulation for wearable health monitoring and weak light imaging

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
Metal halide perovskites are promising for next-generation flexible photodetectors owing to their low-temperature solution processability, mechanical flexibility, and excellent photoelectric properties. However, the defects and notorious ion migration in
