The Association of Post‐Separation Abuse and Coercion With Children's Health and Flourishing
ABSTRACT Aim The purpose of this study is to compare health outcomes and flourishing between children (age 6–17) whose mothers experience high versus low exposure to post‐separation abuse and coercive control (PSA). Design Exploratory sequential mixed‐methods study. Methods Cross‐sectional survey with community‐based, convenience sample of family court‐

On Brocard's problem with Padovan and Perrin numbers
The Padovan sequence $\{P_{m}\}_{m\ge 0}$ is a ternary recurrence sequence with companion polynomial $X^{3}-X-1$ and initial conditions $P_{0}=P_{1}=P_{2}=1$. The Perrin sequence $\{R_{m}\}_{m\ge 0}$ is defined by the same companion polynomial as the Padovan sequence, but has initial values $R_{0}=3$, $R_{1}=0$, and $R_{2}=2$.

3SD: Rotational symmetry single‐shot denoising in fluorescence microscopy
Abstract Image noise is a fundamental problem in fluorescence microscopy analysis, especially in live cell imaging applications where the number of detected photons is limited due to low power of excitation lasers to prevent phototoxicity during extended imaging experiments.

ABSTRACT Large‐scale irrigation schemes are central to agrarian transformation in sub‐Saharan Africa, yet their political implications are often reduced to questions of land redistribution or agrarian differentiation. Although existing scholarship has documented how irrigation restructures agrarian relations and generates dispossession, less attention ...

Early Labor Market Outcomes of Young Adults From Same‐Sex Families: Evidence From Population Data
ABSTRACT Objective This study offers the first population‐based evidence on how young adults from same‐sex families fare when entering the labor market shortly after leaving full‐time education. Background Same‐sex couples' parenting rights remain controversial in many countries.

Abstract The relative rates of sexual versus clonal reproduction partition genetic diversity, but the quantification of these rates remains limited in natural populations. This knowledge gap is particularly acute among tropical macroalgae. Chondria tumulosa is a red macroalga that has been documented at high abundance in the three northernmost atolls ...

How Mental Concepts Shape Sleep: Introducing the Mental Concept Reactivation Hypothesis of Sleep
ABSTRACT Sleep problems affect a substantial proportion of individuals, and negative thoughts, rumination, and worry are considered key factors underlying persistence and severity. While extensive research has examined how these states disrupt sleep before falling asleep, much less is known about how mental concepts, including thoughts, expectations ...

Einstein–Perrin dilemma on the Brownian motion (Avogadro’s number) resolved?
AbstractThe general recognition of the existence of atoms and molecules occurred only at the beginning of the twentieth century. Many researchers contributed to this, but the ultimate proof of the molecular nature of matter that convinced even the last sceptics was the confirmation of Albert Einstein’s statistical-fluctuation theory of Brownian motion,

The 2-adic valuation of shifted Padovan and Perrin numbers and applications
We characterize the 2-adic valuation of (Pn − 1)n≥0 , where (Pn)n≥0 denotes the Padovan sequence. In addition, we use this formula to find all the Cullen and Proth numbers that are Padovan numbers. We also fully describe the 2-adic order of (Rn + 1)n≥0 , where (Rn)n≥0 denotes the Perrin sequence, and use it to find all Woodall and Proth numbers of the ...
