Functional Imaging for Identification of Functionally Critical Brain Regions to Spare in Glioma Radiation Therapy Planning: A Systematic Review

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
This review highlights the role of functional imaging in sparing cognitive brain regions during glioma radiotherapy. It shows promising dose reduction without compromising target coverage, but evidence remains limited, requiring standardisation and prospective validation.

Protective factors and critical mucosal thickness for the stability of the peri‐implant soft tissue margin over 5 years: A longitudinal cohort study

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Peri‐implant soft tissue dehiscence deficiencies (PSTDs) are common esthetic complications in the anterior maxilla, yet the parameters that protect the peri‐implant soft tissue margin (STM) over time remain unclear. Previous studies have identified several risk indicators, but longitudinal thresholds capable of predicting stable STM

The genetic landscape of congenital diarrheas and very early onset inflammatory bowel disease in the Middle East

open access: yesJPGN Reports, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives Monogenic causes of congenital diarrheas and enteropathies (CoDE) and very early onset inflammatory bowel disease (VEOIBD) are mostly recessive and therefore more prevalent in populations with increased consanguinity rates. To assess the genetic basis of these disorders in a likely high‐prevalence population, we established a multi ...

Integrated characterization of Greek fennel genotypes through morpho‐agronomical characteristics, yield components and phytochemical compounds

open access: yesJSFA reports, Volume 5, Issue 3, Page 91-103, March 2025.
Abstract Background Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare Mill.) is a widely cultivated vegetable and aromatic‐medicinal plant. In this research, field studies assessed 12 fennel genotypes of diverse origin, comprising 10 Greek accessions and two European commercial varieties, focusing on their morpho‐agronomical traits, phenolic compounds and antioxidant ...
