Stability of Rock Pillars with Singular and Persistent Discontinuities [PDF]
Problem statement: The strength of rock pillars in the presence of si ngle, persistent, natural discontinuities can seriously be compromise d and lead the pillar to collapse because of instability along the discontinuity itself. Approach: A specific analysis method for this kind of problem has been set up in this study to evaluate t he stability of ...

Antimicrobial peptide (AMP)‐loaded nanocarriers provide a multifunctional strategy to combat drug‐resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. By enhancing intracellular delivery, bypassing efflux pumps, and disrupting bacterial membranes, this platform restores phagolysosome fusion and macrophage function.

Directed transport of active particles over asymmetric energy barriers
We theoretically and numerically investigate the transport of active colloids to target regions, delimited by asymmetric energy barriers. We show that it is possible to introduce a generalized effective temperature that is related to the local variance ...

Real‐Time 3D Ultrasound Imaging with an Ultra‐Sparse, Low Power Architecture
This article presents a novel, ultra‐sparse ultrasound architecture that paves the way for wearable real‐time 3D imaging. By integrating a unique convolutional array with chirped data acquisition, the system achieves high‐resolution volumetric scans at a fraction of the power and hardware complexity.

Temporal dynamics of stream fish assemblages and the role of spatial scale in quantifying change
Spatial grain of studies of communities is often based on arbitrary convention. Few studies have examined how spatial scaling of grain size affects estimates of compositional change over time, despite its broad implications. Fish assemblage structure was
