Monitoring Coastal Reclamation Subsidence in Hong Kong with Distributed Scatterer Interferometry
Land subsidence has been a significant problem in land reclaimed from the sea, and it is usually characterized by a differential settlement pattern due to locally unconsolidated marine sediments and fill materials.

CURRENT MAGNIFICATION AND CIRCULATING CURRENTS IN MESOSCOPIC RINGS
We show that several novel effects related to persistent currents can arise in open systems, which have no analogue in closed or isolated systems. We have considered a system of a metallic ring coupled to two electron reservoirs.

Generation of Persistent Scatterers in Non-Urban Areas: The Role of Microwave Scattering Parameters
In this work, we study the capability of the ground surface to generate Persistent Scatterers (PS) based on the lithology, slope and aspect angles.

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Disorder-Induced Static Antiferromagnetism in Cuprate Superconductors
Using model calculations of a disordered d-wave superconductor with on-site Hubbard repulsion, we show how dopant disorder can stabilize novel states with antiferromagnetic order.

Measuring thermal expansion using X-band persistent scatterer interferometry [PDF]
This paper is focused on the estimation of the thermal expansion of buildings and infrastructures using X-band Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) observations. For this purpose an extended PSI model is used, which allows separating the thermal expansion from the total observed deformation thus generating a new PSI product: the map of the thermal

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.

The estimation of deformation parameters using persistent scatterer interferometry (PSI) is limited to single dominant coherent scatterers. As such, it rejects layovers wherein multiple scatterers are interfering in the same range-azimuth resolution cell.

Relationship Between Neurologic Symptoms and Signs and FMR1 Genotype in Premutation Carriers
ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Fragile X‐associated Tremor/Ataxia Syndrome (FXTAS) is the most severe late‐onset condition caused by a premutation in the FMR1 gene, characterized by expanded CGG triplet repeats of 55–200. Clinical presentations of FXTAS, including gait ataxia, kinetic tremor, cognitive decline, and rare Parkinsonism, are linked to ...
