Cost‐Effectiveness of a Culturally Adapted Diabetes Self‐Management Education Program for Marshallese Adults With Type 2 Diabetes‐a State‐Transition Markov Analysis

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 12, Page 11556-11567, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim To assess the health and economic consequences of a culturally adapted family‐model diabetes self‐management education (adapted DSME) program for Marshallese adults with type 2 diabetes (T2D) compared with standard DSME and usual care. Methods A state‐transition Markov model was constructed to predict costs and quality‐adjusted life years (

Glycaemic Variability and C‐Peptide in Bangladeshi Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults With Diabetes: A Prospective Study

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 6, November 2026.
In 97 Bangladeshi children and young people with diabetes, glucose variability far exceeded international targets. Lower residual beta‐cell function, measured by fasting C‐peptide, was associated with greater variability in a graded pattern. C‐peptide may help identify those at higher risk, though larger studies are needed to confirm this.

The effect of light supplementation on the changes in outer and inner fruit quality of different Selenicereus spp. cultivars

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 14, Page 8503-8514, November 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND Selenicereus spp., belonging to the Cactaceae family, produces pitaya, a fruit recognized for its exotic appearance and rich phytochemical composition. In regions with shorter photoperiods, flowering and fruit development are limited, making light supplementation a promising strategy.

DNA Tetrahedra-Cross-linked Hydrogel Functionalized Paper for Onsite Analysis of DNA Methyltransferase Activity Using a Personal Glucose Meter

open access: yes, 2020
Despite the recent developments on the construction of point-of-care testing (POCT) devices, it is still a big challenge to build portable POCT tools for simple, sensitive, selective, and quantitative determination of disease-related biomarkers.
