Abstract This study compared three Brainlab thermoplastic masks—Cranial 4pi basic, stereotactic (Close Mask V2), and open‐face—to see how well they limited head movement during Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS). Using a head phantom, we tested rotational movements (pitch, yaw, and roll) and measured displacements with the ExacTrac system.

Graphical Models for Processing Missing Data [PDF]
This paper reviews recent advances in missing data research using graphical models to represent multivariate dependencies. We first examine the limitations of traditional frameworks from three different perspectives: \textit{transparency, estimability and testability}. We then show how procedures based on graphical models can overcome these limitations

Abstract Introduction Many artificial intelligence (AI) solutions have been proposed to enhance the radiotherapy (RT) workflow, but limited applications have been implemented to date, suggesting an implementation gap. One contributing factor to this gap is a misalignment between AI systems and their users.

In vivo transit dosimetry methodology for whole breast intensity modulated radiation therapy
Abstract Background In vivo transit dosimetry using an electronic portal imaging device (EPID‐IVTD) is an important tool for verifying the accuracy of radiation therapy treatments. Despite its potential, the implementation of EPID‐IVTD in breast intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) treatments has not yet been standardized, limiting its clinical

Bezier Curves Intersection Using Relief Perspective [PDF]
Presented paper describes the method for finding the intersection of class space rational Bezier curves. The problem curve/curve intersection belongs among basic geometric problems and the aim of this article is to describe the new technique to solve the problem using relief perspective and Bezier clipping.

Abstract Purpose Due to the tight curvature in their design, ring applicators are usually associated with large positioning errors. The standard practice to correct for these deviations based on global offsets may not be sufficient to comply with the recommended tolerance.

Engineering Adaptive Information Graphics for Disabled Communities: A Case Study with Public Space Indoor Maps [PDF]
Most software applications contain graphics such as charts, diagrams and maps. Currently, these graphics are designed with a ``one size fits all" approach and do not cater to the needs of people with disabilities. Therefore, when using software with graphics, a colour-impaired user may struggle to interpret graphics with certain colours, and a person ...

MAKING PERSPECTIVE IMAGES USING GRAPHICS PROGRAMS.
This research paper meant to analyze several methods of creating perspective images in some useful graphics programs. Multi-perspective images are a useful way to visualize extended roughly planar scenes such as landscapes or city blocks. However, constructing effective multi-perspective images is something of an art.

Abstract Purpose Breast cancer is a neoplastic disease with high prevalence among women. Radiotherapy is one of the principal treatment modalities for this disease, but it poses significant challenges. This study aimed to compare and evaluate the technical and dosimetric performance of conventional C‐arm linac systems and a new design, Halcyon, in the ...
