Quantitative Assessment of Gut and Vascular Barriers in TTOP, a Cartridge‐Based Bicompartmental Culture Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
The modular, versatile, and standardized cartridge‐based culture module allows to replicate gut and vascular barriers. Its conventional handling requirements facilitate adoption by non‐technical users, while the design allows safe manipulation and retrieval of samples for permeability assays and endpoint analysis.

Room Temperature Rejuvenation Technology for Irradiated Gallium Nitride Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
High temperature annealing has been the main defect mitigation technology since the Bronze age. We propose a room temperatureannealing technique that could be effective for electrically conducting materials. The new technique is demonstrated on a Gallium Nitride high electron mobility transistor undergoing radiation damage.

3D Printing of Highly Porous Polypropylene Separators for Lithium‐Ion Batteries Using Fused Deposition Modeling and Thermally Induced Phase Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the 3D printing of custom‐shaped battery separators using a polypropylene/paraffin wax composite filament. A post‐processing step creates porous structures by removing wax. The printed porous separators show promising mechanical and electrochemical performance, offering a pathway toward conformable battery designs.

Nature‐Inspired Functional Aerogel Fibers with Engineerable Core–Shell Morphology

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Nature‐inspired core–shell aerogel fibers are fabricated through coaxial wet‐spinning, which combines a polyimide shell with MXene core. The fibers exhibited absorption‐dominant EMI shielding, low thermal conductivity, and mechanical robustness, demonstrating multifunctional potential for wearable electronics and advanced smart textiles.
