Simultaneous Multi‐Resonant Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence and Room Temperature Phosphorescence from Biluminescent Nitrogen‐Containing Indolocarbazoles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An extremely rare type of organic biluminescent emission is reported that consists of delayed emission resulting from both the fluorescence (multi‐resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence) and phosphorescence spectra at room temperature, and the lifetimes of the two processes exhibit opposing dependence with temperature.

Superconducting Carbon‐Cage Network with Tc of 109 K at Ambient Pressure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By introducing elemental and hole doping into a theoretically designed sp3‐hybridized C18 carbon cage, superconductivity with a transition temperature up to 109 K is predicted under ambient pressure. These findings offer a promising pathway for designing high‐Tc superconductors based on stable covalent carbon frameworks.

Orbital effects of Sun's mass loss and the Earth's fate

open access: yes, 2010
I calculate the classical effects induced by an isotropic mass loss of a body on the orbital motion of a test particle around it. By applying my results to the phase in which the radius of the Sun, already moved to the Red Giant Branch of the Hertzsprung-

Vertical Phase Separation in Blended Organic Semiconducting Films and Impact on Their Electrical and Direct X‐Ray Detection Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The composition of blends of 1,4,8,11‐tetramethyl‐6,13‐triethylsilylethynyl pentacene (TMTES) and polystyrene (PS) to be used in Organic Field‐Effect Transistors (OFETs) is optimized to achieve and enhance thin film crystallinity and a reduced charge trap density at the semiconductor/dielectric interface.

Modeling heterogeneity in large‐scale bioreactors using the method of moments with a truncated normal distribution

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Large‐scale bioreactors in industrial bioprocesses pose challenges due to extracellular concentration gradients and intracellular heterogeneity. This study introduces a novel approach integrating the method of moments with truncated normal distributions (MM‐TND) to model intracellular heterogeneity while maintaining computational feasibility ...

Substellar fragmentation in self-gravitating fluids with a major phase transition

open access: yes, 2015
The existence of substellar cold H2 globules in planetary nebulae and the mere existence of comets suggest that the physics of cold interstellar gas might be much richer than usually envisioned.

Deep Learning‐Assisted Coherent Raman Scattering Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The analytical capabilities of coherent Raman scattering microscopy are augmented through deep learning integration. This synergistic paradigm improves fundamental performance via denoising, deconvolution, and hyperspectral unmixing. Concurrently, it enhances downstream image analysis including subcellular localization, virtual staining, and clinical ...

Evolution of density and velocity profiles of matter in large voids

open access: yes, 2016
We analyse the evolution of cosmological perturbations which leads to the formation of large voids in the distribution of galaxies. We assume that perturbations are spherical and all components of the Universe - radiation, matter and dark energy - are ...

Measuring gravitational wave memory with LISA [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D
Gravitational wave (GW) astronomy has revolutionized our capacity to explore nature. The next generation of observatories, among which the space-borne detector Laser Interferometer Space Antenna LISA, is expected to yield orders of magnitude of signal-to-

Artificial Intelligences: A Bridge Toward Diverse Intelligence and Humanity's Future

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Many discussions of artificial intelligence fail to address deeper questions being raised by advances in developmental biology, neuroscience, bioengineering, and philosophy of mind. Novel beings, including technologically and biologically augmented humans, engineered life forms, hybrots, and others, require tools of the emerging field of diverse ...
