Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Using kinetic theory to examine a self-gravitating system composed of baryons and cold dark matter

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
We examine the evolution of non-relativistic cold dark matter gravitationally coupled to baryons with modes deep inside the Hubble radius (sub-horizon regime) using a kinetic theory approach within the realm of Newtonian theory.

Black hole perturbation theory and multiple polylogarithms

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
We study black hole linear perturbation theory in a four-dimensional Schwarzschild (anti) de Sitter background. When dealing with a positive cosmological constant, the corresponding spectral problem is solved systematically via the Nekrasov-Shatashvili ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Chiral constraints on the isoscalar electromagnetic spectral functions of the nucleon from leading order vector meson couplings

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
Using baryon chiral perturbation theory including vector mesons, we analyze various continuum contributions to the isoscalar electromagnetic spectral functions of the nucleon induced by the leading order couplings. Keywords: Electromagnetic form factors,

Adaptive Perturbation Theory: Quantum Mechanics and Field Theory

open access: yes, 2005
Adaptive perturbation is a new method for perturbatively computing the eigenvalues and eigenstates of quantum mechanical Hamiltonians that are widely believed not to be solvable by such methods.

Perturbation theory, effective field theory, and oscillations in the power spectrum [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We explore the relationship between the nonlinear matter power spectrum and the various Lagrangian and Standard Perturbation Theories (LPT and SPT).

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Temporal Dynamics in Perturbation Theory

open access: yes, 1997
Perturbation theory can be reformulated as dynamical theory. Then a sequence of perturbative approximations is bijective to a trajectory of dynamical system with discrete time, called the approximation cascade.
