Rotating Topological Stars

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We construct a three-parameter family of smooth and horizonless rotating solutions of Einstein-Maxwell theory with Chern-Simons term in five dimensions and discuss their stringy origin in terms of three-charge brane systems in Type IIB and M-theory.

Periodic and Axial Perturbations of Chaotic Solitons in the Realm of Complex Structured Quintic Swift-Hohenberg Equation

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications
This research work employs a powerful analytical method known as the Riccati Modified Extended Simple Equation Method (RMESEM) to investigate and analyse chaotic soliton solutions of the (1 + 1)-dimensional Complex Quintic Swift–Hohenberg Equation (CQSHE)

In Situ Crystalline‐Amorphous Composite Oxide Structure Suppressing Thermal Wear Instability for Refractory Multi‐Principal Element Alloy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An effective strategy is developed to overcome the medium temperatures wear resistance degradation in refractory multi‐principal element alloys. By utilizing chemical short‐range ordering to trigger oxygen‐induced amorphization, a composite oxide structure is formed, which combines high hardness with robust stiffness.

Application of the continuous method for solving operator equations to the approximate solution of the amplitude-phase problem

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений. Поволжский регион: Физико-математические науки
Background. The article is devoted to approximate methods for solving the phase problem for one-dimensional and two-dimensional signals. The cases of continuous and discrete signals are considered.

Targeting Post‐Irradiation Thyroid Dysfunction: Electrospun Scaffolds As A Dual‐Action Approach for Antioxidant and Immune Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Radiation‐induced hypothyroidism follows head and neck radiotherapy due to oxidative stress and inflammation. Electrospun polycaprolactone scaffolds containing adenosine have potential to modulate thyroid repair. Scaffolds enhance thyrocyte proliferation, antioxidant enzymes glutathione peroxidase and catalase, reduce senescence and apoptosis markers ...

On nonlinear functional perturbation problems for ordinary differential equations

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1972
AbstractThe linear homogeneous system of differential equations is a good basic model for perturbation problems because many useful properties of the solutions of linear equations are readily established. In this article, conditions are imposed upon a linear system of differential equations which imply that the linear system is either conditionally ...

An Edible H2O2 Biosensor for Gastrointestinal Metabolites and Peroxidase Enzyme Quantification

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
We present an edible biosensor for gastric fluid analysis that integrates a caffeic acid–horseradish peroxidase redox system into an edible electrolyte‐gated transistor. The device enables rapid, low‐volume detection of H2O2 and, with minimal modification, metabolites and enzyme activity in simulated gastrointestinal conditions.

Convective space-time chaos as a dynamical model of deterministic and stochastic turbulence

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
Recently, a concept of deterministic and stochastic turbulence has been introduced based on experiments with a boundary layer. In these experiments, the flow was driven with controlled random perturbation; in addition, natural ambient noise was also ...

Characterization of an Injectable Poly(vinyl alcohol)‐gelatin Hydrogel for Growth Factor Delivery in an Orthopedic Application

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces photo‐crosslinkable tyraminated poly(vinyl alcohol)‐gelatin (PVA‐GT) hydrogels as tunable injectable platforms for tissue engineering and growth factor delivery applications. This schematic illustrates the two developed hydrogel formulations and the experimental workflow used to evaluate their physico‐chemical properties in vitro ...
